This 16:10 aspect ratio monitor for home office, business, CAD, and digital photography use comes with a wide color gamut and several features that save power and improve visual ergonomics.

Optimized Brightness with Auto EcoView An Auto EcoView sensor on the front of the monitor measures ambient light and optimizes the screen's brightness to levels akin to viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting conditions. Since the screen is never too bright, eye strain is reduced while power consumption is cut by up to 43% compared to operating the monitor with Auto EcoView turned off and set to the default factory brightness of 100%.

Zero Watts When Turned Off
When the monitor’s power save mode and off timer function are set, it consumes less than 1.5 watts of power, and when turned off via the main power switch, it consumes no electricity at all.

Power Savings with EcoView Index A user activated on-screen index shows the level of power savings in correlation with the monitor’s brightness to encourage environmental consciousness while working. When EcoView Index is fully illuminated, the monitor is operating at optimum energy efficiency.

DVI Input Level Adjustment
This feature compensates for image quality degradation that may occur when connecting a monitor with a signal switch box or via a long cable.

Individual Adjustment of Gamma
For better image consistency in multi-monitor environments, EIZO performs advanced gamma adjustment at the factory, which minimizes discrepancies among monitor gamma characteristics.


Fine Contrast Mode Selection
For optimum viewing of different kinds of content, EIZO’s Fine Contrast function includes modes for office applications (Text mode), video (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), web browsing (sRGB mode), and user-defined settings (Custom mode). Modes switch automatically with the bundled ScreenManager Pro for LCD software, or manually with the press of a button.

Unobtrusive Speakers 0.5 watt speakers are hidden within the monitor cabinet, so you can enjoy sound while bezel size is kept to a minimum. If you require greater volume, the separate i-Sound L3 sound unit with dual 0.9 watt speakers can be attached to the bottom of the monitor.

Improved Work Efficiency, Reduced Visual Fatigue
EIZO conducted a survey in 2008 to establish the relationship between eye fatigue and monitor use. The results showed that features like Auto EcoView, ergonomic stands, and the EyeCare utility helped reduce eye fatigue and improved work efficiency by 12.5%.

A selection of ergonomic stands offer height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and portrait mode viewing. For installations that require frequent rearrangement of equipment, a quick mount attachment option allows the monitor to be quickly and easily mounted and dismounted with the pull of a lever.



Wide Color Gamut
The color gamut reproduces 96% of the Adobe RGB color space so it can display most colors in a photograph taken in Adobe RGB mode and cover most of the CMYK spaces used in printing. For digital camera photo enthusiasts, the FlexScan S2432W is compatible with the optional accessory EIZO EasyPIX, a color matching tool that includes EasyPIX software and EIZO's EX1 color sensor. With EasyPIX, users can measure and save the monitor's settings to make color profiles for simple monitor and photo print color matching.
